Welcome to the home of the Redback Project.

What's it all about?
Getting teachers up to speed with some of the web 2.0 tools accessible in Victorian Government schools.
It's all well and good to talk about introducing innovative programs with students, but if staff don't know what is available to them, the task is so much harder and more likely to be put on the backburner. Lack of skills and knowledge becomes yet another blocker.

The Redback blog

This is the guide to help take teachers, and anyone else interested, through some tools which can be useful for educators, or for developing an understanding of 21stC tools in general.
Here I have created a series of tasks and a list of resources for people to work through. I guess it could even be used for student introductions to different skill sets. People can work through at their own pace, with written and video support to help them on their learning journey.
This link is to the previous version of the project ICTatEMC where through the comments you can see the trepidation and big learning curve path many staff are travelling on. The best bits are the really positive comments, with people stepping up to the challenge, and developing great skills and a deeper understanding of Web 2.0 tools.

This wiki is a place for discussion, let me know if you you have any questions etc. on the discussion forums.
